In order to provide your little bundle of joy a safe, worry-free ride on the road, selecting the car seat that matches your child’s development is the first baby step. Infant Rear Facing	Toddler - Forward Facing
Required by law for children weighing less than 9kg (20lb) Use until at least one year old and a minimum of 9kg (20lb). Follow manufacturer's recommendations for height/weight . Harness slots at or below shoulders and seat is reclined to a 45 degree angle	Required by law for children weighing between 9 and 18 kg (20-40lb) Use when child is at least one year old and a minimum of 9kg (20lb). Follow manufacturer's recommendations for height/weight. Harness slots at or above shoulders.

Please note that infants with health challenges such as spinal problems, developmental issues, respiratory problems, low birth weight babies may need to travel in a special restraint system other than a car seat, specifically a car bed. The safety of this type of system is regulated by CMVSS213.5.

In Canada, car beds are obtained by prescription through local hospitals and are NOT available at baby stores. For specific installation procedures, please contact your local hospital or Transport Canada Road Safety Line at 1-800-333-0371.
